5” x 7” / oil on panel / framed in a hand-finished vintage frame

This painting was done en plein air at Bristol Harbor here in Rhode Island. The day was fading and the horizon was on fire. I tried to capture that fleeting light that comes on so slowly and then disappears beneath the horizon in an instant.
